Pitch Black

Did we tell you about the pre-paid electric utility cards? Well our Ayi (house keeper) has been out sick this week and so our electric card ran out of credits and yes, we have no electricity for the night. Hope we can get it back tomorrow. Here's a pic of our room!!!

Last Day at the Marriott

Just left the Marriott... Nice to be going to a house finally, but we will miss all our friends at the Marriott. The doorman was "shu shu" for uncle. He was really really kind, we loved seeing him each day... He loved to help our kids to the car. Now we are ready for Home Sweet Home.

A Favorite Eat-out

Already found one of our favorite to eat out. It is called Chef Too... Small place, so it's hard to get a seat on the weekends... Nice atmosphere.

Making it Feel Like Home

Here are the girls bunk beds with shelving and work desk underneath. They set them up with all their little memories. They even can get KSBJ radio over the internet on their ipod clock radios. Home Sweet Home!

Passport Eaten by Dog

This is Lauren's passport 18 days before we were about to leave for China. Why does everything have to happen to Lauren (her first week in Beijing she ordered a hamburger, but got a spaghetti dish instead)?? She really liked the picture and in our rush to apply for another passport and Visa, we gave them an old picture that was not her favorite. She will have to carry around a passport with a photo she doesn't like for the next 10 years. The good news is that we were able to get another passport, a new letter of invitation from China, and visa with 3 days to spare!
